Jill Eckhoff Transition House

Provides temporary housing and supportive environment while women begin to stablize their lives and gain skills to be self sufficient.

The Transitional House is named in honor of a former women's advocate who worked tirelessly on behalf of battered women and their children to help them find affordable housing and other necessary resources.

The house was opened in 1995 to provide low-income, transitional housing for women and their children who have left an abusive relationship. An advocate provides ongoing assistance with goal planning and systems advocacy while residents continue their process toward self-sufficiency.
