After Care Services Advocacy Program

Survivors of domestic abuse, departin

Anna Marie’s shelter, may opt to receive After-care services of emotional support, information, and advocacy for a 6 month period following departure.

Volunteer advocates:

• come into Anna Marie’s to meet clients before initial home visit
• travel to visit clients each week at the client’s home or another safe place
• provide information and connection with community resources
• provide support
• provide information and tools helping client reach self-determined goals, and develop a healthy, nonviolent, self-sufficient lifestyle
