I thought I was being a good wife. I thought he was a caring husband. You can't imagine the horror I felt when I found out I had been a pawn for 18 years. I had slowly been molded to serve him. Apparently his goal was to take everything I had--possibly even my life. His actions were calculated, cold, cruel, manipulative, demonic. I am fortunate that I survived...Anna Marie's has been a blessing to me and hundreds of others. Their assistance, their direction, their counseling...the staff is there for unprecedented support. I extend my thanks to Anna Marie's Shelter...
